Manna’s first sustainability report is published
Manna was born in May 2021, and already then it was evident that our vision cannot be anything else than to become the most desirable, profitable and sustainable brand house in the Nordics. As Sampsa Laine, our CEO, comments in the report:
Our industry is one of the most burdening to the environment. In addition, there are various aspects to improve in the way transparency and human rights are taken care of in the supply chain. According to our point of view, our industry needs sustainability forerunners, and we aim to be one.
Sustainability and responsibility are the corner stones of our daily business, and we want to communicate on our progress in building more sustainable business in a transparent manner to our stakeholders.
Manna’s sustainability focus areas are products and production, the environment and climate as well as people. Foundation for all our activities is responsible, values-driven management and leadership. Around these themes is also built our first sustainability report. It follows the Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI) standards, when applicable. Unfortunately, the data available for us does not yet cover all material topics and GRI indicators for Manna, but we work hard to develop and integrate our data gathering process to fulfill the GRI requirement more thoroughly going forward.
For us, sustainability means questioning conventions. We believe that a steadfast and focused approach brings results and by working together we do better. From the report attached, you can read more in Finnish. The summary of the highlights is available on this website in English.
